The Dark Knight

Since I saw this movie on Friday, I’ve been trying to think of a way to review this and sound like I’m a calm, collected reviewer and be fairly objective about this movie’s pros and cons. But every time I think about the movie it comes out as as a rambling mess of “oh my god”s and “so fucking awesome”s. So I’ll just run with that. Oh my god, this movie is so fucking awesome. I mean, really, if you like movies that are good, just go see this movie. I can’t be any more clear than that. This is the best role Heath Ledger ever had, and it’s a really sad movie in a way, because this is his final performance, and you almost can’t tell it’s him behind the makeup. He’s frightening, he’s funny, he’s menacing, he’s playful, he’s calculated, and he’s insane. It’s the perfect Joker. Aaron Eckhart plays Harvey Dent, and his rise and fall as both hero and villain is almost as fascinating as the Batman/Joker stuff. Great casting, and it was a smart move to make Harvey the center of the movie. He more than makes up for Tommy Lee Jones’ awful performance in Batman Forever. It’s a great movie because there’s a viagra generic lot going on but it not like a Spider-Man 3 or X-Men 3 where there’s too many plots mishmashed together. They are all tied together masterfully and it’s still faithful to the spirit of the comics. Oh, and Christian Bale? Great again what does viagra yahoo as Batman. Yes he still has his ridiculous tough guy voice that’s a little over the top, but he’s the perfect man for this role. And Maggie Gyllenhaal is way better than Katie Holmes. She should have been cast for this role in the first place. I could go on and on about this movie and not really make any other people other than it’s great. The cinematography is great, the directing is excellent, the action scenes levitra taken with viagra are intense, and it’s the best movie I’ve seen all summer. Go see it. Review over.

Best movie I’ve seen in a long, long time.

From the 5 minutes of Batman Begins I saw on TV, that tough guy voice reminds me of Michael Keaton. Also I should watch all of Batman Begins sometime and then watch this.

This is a good flick. Although, Iron Man is still the best movie I saw this summer. I was surprised, like you said Zach, about how well they tied everything together. The plot was amazing and executed perfectly. In regards to Ledger’s performance, it’s good but I think it was over hyped. Jack Nicholson was a better Joker in my opinion. They took the roles in different directions but I think Jack out-crazied Heath.

Best thing EVER. This and Iron Man gave me new faith in superhero movies done right.

I’ve seen this movie three times now, all in IMAX. I can pretty much say that this, Requiem for a Dream, Ashes of Time, and Fight Club are my favorite movies ever.

This will be the movie people remember when they talk about 2008. This is the one that will last for years. Ledger’s performance is going to go down as one of the truly saddening “died at the beginning of their prime” actors.

There cannot be enough said about this film. I just watch it and think, “Why can’t more movies be so fully developed as this?” A film that stands so high above the rest that it should put them to shame.
